Information: This option helps to keep record of users who joins/parts/gets kicked/banned/quits from channels you are in. You may be familiar with this feature in bots who reply to seen <nick> message. This is an alternate to bot's seen database. If there is no bot in any channel, this command will be very much useful to you, specially when you are looking for a nick or host or ip address. Usage: If you want to use this option, you have to enable 'seen' first. To enable it, click on -Turn on .
After 'seen' is turned on, it will automatically create log files and you will be able to search this database. Just click on 'Search A Nick or Mask'. A popup window will open.
Enter any nick or hostmask like *!*@207.6.154.33 in the box and then click 'OK'. Seen result will be displayed. This is enough for your own seen requirement. But if you would like to serve this command for public usage, that is, if you want to reply to other people's seen query displayed in any channel window, then you have to configure ' setup '
Keep tick mark in the first two small windows. If you want to respond to particular channels, put tick on the third window and put channel names seperated by comma. Usually all the replies are in channel messages. If you wanna reply through private notice, put tick in fourth window and enter channel names. Last of all, if you wish to store seen data from some particular channels, keep tick in the last window and enter channel names. After completing setup, click 'Ok'. As seen log file always grows bigger and bigger, it uses more and more disk space. So you need to keep this log within limit. Click on ' maintain log [lines]... '
Enter how many days you want to keep a particular seen data (example: 3 ). Click OK. Logs older than that time period will be deleted automatically. If you wanna delete logs that are not older than that, simply click on ' del log ' |
